NC FLL® Challenge 2024-2025 Season Kickoff

Note: The FLL Challenge Season Kick-off will be an in-person event.  Attendance is free to all registered and currently non-registered teams.

WHAT IS THE KICK-OFF?

​The North Carolina FIRST® LEGO League Challenge Season Kickoff is a wonderful place for friends new to NC FLL, Rookie and Veteran teams to come and learn more about this season's Challenge, attend detailed training workshops, and network with other teams.  The NC FLL® Planning Committee along with veteran coaches, volunteers, and teams will be on hand to assist with any questions you may have about becoming apart of the NC FLL® community.  Attending the workshops at the Kickoff is a great way to learn more about the program and to network with teams from around the state.

REGISTRATION

Registration opens on Tuesday, August 27, 2024

STEP 1: Please complete TEAM PARTICIPATION SURVEY at the link below.

STEP 2: Once the survey is completed, the email address associated with 'Lead Coach #1' (as entered on the survey), will receive the registration link for kick-off registration.

​REGISTRATION NOTES:
  • Registration is limited to coaches, team mentors and team members only.  No spectators or siblings.
  • In-person attendance will be capped. Spaces will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis.
  • One registration per team required.
  • Teams may split up and attend different workshops throughout the day, to gain as much information as possible.  All sessions will be recorded and posted in Basecamp for future viewing.
  • Workshop sign-up will not be required this season.

LUNCH OPTIONS & PRE-ORDER LUNCH

Pre-order lunch is available.  Please click on the link below and review the instructions for submission.  Please limited one order per team.  The deadline to order is Thursday, Sept. 19th @ 3 pm.

  • There will be a 50-minute lunch break beginning at 12:30pm.
  • Note: Presenter and Kick-off Volunteer lunches will be sponsored by the NC A&T State University.  Options will be distributed in a separate email.
  • Pre-order Lunch (Optional)
  • Bring Your Own Lunch
  • Go off-site for Lunch - Teams may leave the site to each lunch.  Keep in mind that lunch will only last for 50 minutes, and there are limited restaurant options in the area.

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES

The following precautions will be in-force on the day of the event.
  • Check-in will be digital and implemented via smart phone. 
  • Masks will be optional for ALL participants/attendees (children and adults).
  • Hand Sanitizer will be placed throughout the facility and will be required upon entrance to each workshop room.
  • All rooms will have a set capacity limit, and there must be a seat available in order to attend the workshop.
  • General Sessions will be streamed throughout the building, so attendees can watch in comfort.
