The Power of Our Planning Committee
The success and continued growth of North Carolina FIRST® LEGO® League (NC FLL) and FIRST® Tech Challenge (NC FTC) are made possible by the dedication, expertise, and passion of our Planning Committee members. These committed volunteers serve as trusted advisors, ambassadors, and champions for STEM education, helping to guide the strategic direction and long-term sustainability of our programs across North Carolina.

Representing education, industry, government, nonprofit organizations, and the broader STEM community, Planning Committee members contribute valuable perspectives that help ensure our programs remain innovative, impactful, and responsive to the needs of students, coaches, mentors, and volunteers. Their leadership supports program expansion, community engagement, partnership development, volunteer recruitment, and the delivery of high-quality experiences that inspire young people to explore STEM.

As NC FLL and NC FTC continue to grow, the importance of engaged and dedicated volunteers becomes even greater. Planning committees provide the vision, guidance, and collaborative support necessary to strengthen our programs, increase access to underserved communities, and create opportunities for more students to experience the life-changing impact of FIRST.
Through their time, talents, and commitment, Planning Committee members help build a strong foundation for the future—ensuring that NC FIRST programs remain sustainable, accessible, and transformative for generations of students to come.

Shaping Strategy. Building Partnerships. Inspiring Futures.
Together, our Planning Committee members are helping create a stronger STEM ecosystem across North Carolina while empowering the next generation of innovators, engineers, scientists, and technology leaders. Their service is not only an investment in our programs—it is an investment in the future of our communities, workforce, and state.
