FIRST LEGO LEAGUE TEAM VOLUNTEERS:

(
ALL NC FIRST LEGO League teams are required to provide ONE tournament day volunteer who must register in the Volunteer Portal)
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Will be asked to serve a morning or afternoon shift
  • Breakfast and Lunch will be provided for all team volunteers
Training:
  • Provided for all shifts
  • On-site training will take place immediately following check-in which will be at 6:30am (Morning shifts) or 11:30am (Afternoon shifts).
  • Check-in locations will be communicated via email prior to the tournament day.
Positions:
  • Volunteers will be assigned based on order of arrival.
  • All positions are easy to learn and we will provide you with the opportunity to watch your team participate in afternoon public viewing events (Ceremonies and Robot Runs).

If you have any physical restrictions that you would like us to take in consideration when making assignments, please let us know at check-in.

FIRST TECH CHALLENGE:

​T-shirts: Volunteer shirts will be provided for all volunteers.  However, if you already have one, please wear it this weekend.
 
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

Available Volunteer Positions:

General Volunteers (16yrs or older) registration, pit admin, practice field management, set-up/clean up etc.

Judges:
- Judges can come from all disciplines and backgrounds, such as teachers, STEM professionals, etc.
- Volunteers that are familiar with FTC are best suited for this purpose.
- Volunteer Judges will receive training on all aspects of the FTC Judging process from the State Judge Advisor.
- Judges must be 18 years or older, and have a background in the area in which they choose to participate.
- On tournament day, all Judges will be asked to arrive at 7:00am for check-in, and will be asked to remain at the tournament through the conclusion of the Judging Process (normally around 5:00pm).

Competition Area Personnel: 
- Competition Area Personnel can come from all disciplines and backgrounds, such as students, teachers, STEM professionals, etc.
- Volunteer will receive training on all aspects of the Game from the NC FTC Affiliate Partner.
- Referees must be 18 years or older.
- On tournament day, all Competition Area personnel will be asked to assist with set-up the night before the tournament (Friday) between 6:00pm – 9:00pm, and arrive on tournament day (Saturday) at 7:00am for check-in, and will be asked to remain at the tournament through the conclusion of the tournament (normally around 5:00pm).
