NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2025 –
​QUALIFIER REGISTRATION, AND OFFICIAL SCRIMMAGE
Registration will be released in Phases:
​Teams may only register for one qualifier per phase, with a max of 2 qualifiers per team for the season.   A third round of competition will be determined if adequate space is tournament space is available.

• ROUND 1 Qualifying Tournament Registration Opens (Optional)
  - $100 per team (5:00pm)​​ - 1 tournament per team
  ​Round 1 Registration Period - November 11 - December 1, 2025

• Official Scrimmage Registration Opens - (5:00pm)
  Team Registration Limit 12 teams. Participation is free.​​
  Registration for the December 13th Official Scrimmage will open on Tuesday, November 18th at 4:00pm, and will only be open to teams that have already registered for a Round 1 qualifier.  The link will be posted sent via Eventeny.

QUALIFIER SCHEDULE

• North Carolina Tournament registration is managed locally via Basecamp and Eventeny.  You will not find a registration link in the FIRST Dashboard.
• Participating teams must be registered nationally and locally to compete in FIRST TECH Challenge.  NC FTC events are open to North Carolina teams only.
• 17 qualifying tournaments between January and February.
• 390 Team Capacity across all qualifying Tournaments this Season.
• UPDATE - Teams may only register for one qualifier per round, with a max of 2 qualifiers per team for the season.   A round 3 qualifier option is currently pending.  An update on access to a round 3 qualifier will be provided at the end of Round 2 (December 15, 2025).  Access to a round 3 event is not guaranteed.​

AWARDS CHANGES
Teams - Please take note of the changes with Judging this year:

• The Promote Award has been retired
• The Compass Award is only offered at the State Tournament
• All teams that have competed at a qualifying tournament may submit for the Compass Award at the State Tournament.
• Please check back for updates on the dates and process for submission.
• Control Award is now INCLUDED with your portfolio. There is not a separate submission.

​Teams are encouraged to review the Competition Manual, Section 6, Awards section for updates and expectations on tournament day.

Compass Award Submission are due by Wednesday prior to the Regional Championship on the week of competition (unless otherwise noted).
