In the state of North Carolina, North Carolina A&T State University (N.C. A&T) serves as the Affiliate Partner (AP) for FIRST® LEGO® League & FIRST® Tech Challenge. As the AP, N.C. A&T serves as the primary contact in the region and is responsible for the strategic growth and management of the FIRST LEGO League: Challenge Division and FIRST Tech Challenge programs in North Carolina. Dr. Bennett works with a GREAT team of volunteers and associates to promote both FLL & FTC, provide program education, team outreach, and volunteer management, as well as coordinate and execute all NC FLL & NC FTC official events, including the tournaments held at various venues across North Carolina.
Dr. Robin Coger, Dean of the College of Engineering, was proudly elected to the FIRST® Board of Directors in 2015. Dean Coger’s focus at North Carolina A&T ranges from advancing the global preparedness of students, highlighting the research of graduate students, to enhancing the innovation climate across the university.
